No prerequisites are required to attend this workshop. This is a special offering open to all shelter staff and volunteers, regardless of the status of online course work.
Workshop Schedule
All shelter staff and volunteers are welcome to join this workshop. Join us for four days of learning that you will give you the confidence and skills to improve the lives of the animals in your care.
Day 1
You will learn defensive handling techniques for emergency situations as well as managing and training high- arousal dogs.
Day 2
Learn how to introduce dogs safely, discuss body language and practice managing multiple dogs in the yard.
Day 3 & Day 4
Introduction to behavior modification casework, including collecting and tracking behavioral data, designing and implementing behavior plans and training sessions.
