“You have enemies? Good. That means you stood up for something sometime in your life.”
– Victor Hugo
Yes, we have some enemies. Our unwavering commitment to great welfare and creating evidence-based education for shelters has raised the ire of some large organizations that promote and fund outdated practices.
And that’s ok.
We have far more friends than enemies; and none of them are willing to compromise great welfare for a ‘quick fix’.
It was wonderful to experience that friendship when we saw many of you at HSUS Expo; we experience that camaraderie at every in-person workshop; and we feel that appreciation from our educational program participants. We are so grateful to all of you!
And friends, we need your help to continue to do the right thing for shelter animals across the US and around the world. Those large organizations we mentioned? They manage grant money that we can’t access because of our uncompromising stance. That means we can only count on small donations to keep the doors open.
You can help with a donation of $50 or more, purchase a subscription, or encourage your friends and colleagues to sign-up for our paid programs. Every little bit makes a big difference.
And, thank you. We appreciate your friendship, camaraderie, and what you do everyday to promote great animal welfare.
