Canine Handling and Enrichment Workshop
This is a package option for shelters enrolling participants in CORE and CARS. All participants must also be enrolled in or have previously completed the on-line modules.
Apply skills from the on-line CORE program!
This hands-on, dynamic workshop features building handling skills small groups. Participants apply the knowledge and skills from the on-line portion of the program on canine behavior to determine appropriate enrichment based on individual dog's needs. Safe and healthy inter-dog interactions are prioritized during this workshop.

Workshop Schedule
All shelter staff and volunteers who are enrolled in, or have previously completed our on-line program, are welcome to join this workshop. Join us for three days of learning that you will give you the confidence and skills to improve the lives of the animals in your care.
Day 1
You will learn handling techniques for managing and training high- arousal dogs.
Day 2
Learn how to introduce dogs safely, discuss body language and practice managing multiple dogs in the yard.
Day 3
Continue to develop skills for introducing dogs safely, discuss body language and practice managing multiple dogs in the yard. Build basic behavior modifications skills with select dogs.
